Job summary

Canonical is seeking an Accountant with IFRS experience to help prepare the business for public market scrutiny through an IPO. The role may be based in London or remote across the EMEA region, offering a distributed work environment and opportunities for travel.

The candidate will drive month-end reporting, assist with the year-end audit, and support the finance team's broader IPO plans while improving financial processes and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent.
• Qualified accountant with professional certifications (ACCA/ACA/ACMA/CPA).

Responsibilities

• Assist in month-end reporting to deliver timely and accurate information.
• Full responsibility for a part of the ledger processes relevant to your strengths.
• Assist with year-end audit and statutory reporting.
• Support finance team’s IPO preparation plans.
• Improve efficiency of financial processes and monitor compliance.
• Share knowledge between team members to ensure cover when needed.
• Develop your skills to stay updated on standards and regulations.
• Establish strong relationships with key colleagues outside finance.
