Mott MacDonald is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join the Power Transmission and Distribution team. You will develop innovative solutions for grid systems and client installations, enabling secure electricity supply and integration of renewables.

The role covers feasibility through to commissioning, liaising with major utilities and global clients. Reporting to the Power team Principal Engineer, you will perform HV substation layouts, equipment specs, and lifecycle engineering across

Formación

Required degree and ideally Chartered Engineer status.
Experience in power transmission and distribution.
Experience in design, delivery and supervision of HV substation solutions (110kV to 400kV).
Experience in developing specifications for HV AIS/GIS substations and primary/secondary equipment.
Experience across all stages of project lifecycles.
Experience in applying regulatory and client health and safety requirements to HV plant designs.
Experience in preparing technical reports in English.

Responsabilidades

Deliver engineering design input to major electrical power infrastructural development projects through lifecycle stages from feasibility to commissioning.
Coordinate with client project teams and internal disciplines (civil, structural, environmental, survey/geotechnical, transport, protection and control, CAD/BIM).
Develop primary plant layouts for HV substations and specify HV plant equipment.
Support delivery of projects including energy storage, HVDC systems, smart grid solutions, and waste-to-energy.
