Giesecke & Devrient Gmbh is seeking a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive the design, implementation and management of scalable, secure cloud infrastructure in a Barcelona-based team. You will oversee CI/CD pipelines, IaC strategies, automation, and tooling to ensure robust production systems.

You will mentor engineers, collaborate with engineering and QA, and stay ahead of cloud trends while supporting on-call rotations in a hybrid Barcelona office setup.

Competenze

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Systems Administration.
• Proven expertise in AWS cloud infrastructure design and optimization.
• Strong experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Scripting skills in Bash, Python, or PowerShell.
• Hands-on with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Experience with IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Networking, security, and monitoring fundamentals.
• Leadership and excellent communication; mentoring.
• Catalan or Spanish knowledge is a plus.
• Hybrid work model from Barcelona, Catalonia office.

Mansioni

• Design, build, and maintain scalable and robust cloud infrastructure, primarily using AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, EKS, Lambda, etc.).
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines for automated building, testing, and deployment of applications.
• Implement and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation.
• Automate operational tasks, monitoring, logging, and alerting for production systems.
• Ensure the security, availability, and performance of cloud environments.
• Collaborate with development and QA teams to streamline the software delivery lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues efficiently.
• Develop and enforce best practices for cloud architecture, security, and operations.
• Mentor and guide junior DevOps engineers and other technical team members.
• Stay current with emerging cloud technologies and industry trends, evaluating and recommending new tools and techniques.
• Participate in on-call rotations to provide 24/7 support for critical infrastructure.
