Job summary

Sage in Barcelona seeks a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer to bridge Development and Operations through automation, CI/CD and reliable cloud services. You will lead on-call incidents, drive root-cause analysis, and shape operational decisions for our product portfolio.

You will design scalable cloud architectures, implement IaC, monitor performance, and collaborate with product teams to ensure availability, security, and exceptional customer experience.

Qualifications

• Excellent communicator with ability to explain complex tech to non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience in DevOps/SRE environments and CI/CD workflows.
• Proficiency with Windows, Linux and macOS operating systems.
• Cloud experience with AWS and/or Azure and containerized services.
• Strong scripting abilities for automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python).
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholder expectations.
• Experience building and maintaining IaC and CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with SDLC disciplines and Agile methodologies.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of products to remain available, secure and performant.
• Design and implement scalable cloud services and automation.
• Lead 24x7 on-call incidents and drive root-cause analysis.
• Coordinate with product delivery teams to align designs and standards.
• Drive CI/CD best practices and DevOps culture across the org.
• Define metrics and monitoring to inform improvement plans.
• Communicate planned changes and incidents to stakeholders.
