Job summary

IPS is seeking a senior Manager of Design to lead the multidisciplinary design team on life sciences facilities in Madrid. Based at client site, you will oversee design execution from concept through detail, manage resources and schedules, and interface with discipline leads, project managers, and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Engineering, Construction, or Science.
• Spanish language proficiency at a minimum B2 level.
• Proven experience delivering complex multi-disciplinary EPCM projects in pharma/biopharma.
• Strong commercial awareness and budget management.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to meet deadlines within budget.
• Results-oriented with high quality focus and strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coordinate and mentor the multidisciplinary Design Team to ensure coordinated design across disciplines.
• Coordinate resource assignments with Discipline Leads for concurrent projects.
• Develop design execution plans aligned with the Project Execution Plan.
• Establish scope and hours for Design disciplines and Design Sub-contractors.
• Maintain audit readiness in line with the Quality Management System.
• Provide guidance and direction on active design projects and bid support.
• Manage design reviews and ensure deliverables meet project timelines and specifications.
• Communicate changes and update deliverables and schedules accordingly.
