NTT DATA seeks an experienced DB2 for z/OS Systems Programmer to join our DB2 Support Team and provide technical leadership for a large, multi-subsystem DB2 environment. You will install, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS, support DDF connectivity, and collaborate with security, development, and operations to ensure high availability, performance, and security.

The role emphasizes automation, incident response, and continuous improvement.

Qualifikationen

• Typically 8 to 15+ years of IBM Mainframe Systems Programming experience with DB2 for z/OS.
• Experience supporting large-scale enterprise DB2 environments with multiple subsystems.
• Strong DB2 installation, migration, maintenance, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience in Banking/Financial Services or mission-critical environments preferred.
• Hands-on experience supporting high-volume OLTP environments with CICS and DB2.
• Experience with DDF connectivity and distributed DB2 environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in production.

Aufgaben

• Install, configure, upgrade, and maintain DB2 for z/OS environments.
• Support a large-scale enterprise DB2 infrastructure with multiple subsystems.
• Plan and execute DB2 version upgrades, migrations, and maintenance.
• Provide Level 2 and Level 3 support for DB2-based applications.
• Ensure stability, integrity, availability, and performance of DB2 databases.
• Maintain and optimize OLTP environments using CICS and DB2.
• Monitor performance and implement tuning recommendations.
• Perform capacity planning and growth forecasting.
• Develop, test, and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
• Ensure storage management, archiving, and retention processes.
• Implement and manage database security controls and access governance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database and infrastructure issues.
• Collaborate with application teams on design, deployment, problem resolution.
• Maintain documentation and support procedures.
• Provide on-call and after-hours support for incidents.
