Preply is seeking a Senior Data Engineer in the Data Ingestion and Enrichment team to design and own the data layer that powers analytics, ML, and product. You will work with ML Platform, Analytics, and Product squads to ensure features and pipelines are production-ready and observable.

You will build trusted ingestion foundations, manage batch and streaming pipelines, enforce data contracts, and drive governance and standardisation across the platform.

Formación

• Experience designing data ingestion and enrichment pipelines.
• Experience with batch and streaming ingestion.
• Cloud platforms (AWS/GCP or equivalent).
• Strong collaboration with ML/Analytics teams.
• English level B2+.

Responsabilidades

• Build the data lake and data as a product with clear ownership and schemas.
• Own end-to-end ingestion pipelines (batch & streaming).
• Define data contracts and embed validation and data quality checks.
• Implement enrichment logic and dataset versioning for analysis over time.
• Instrument pipelines with observability: freshness, latency, and cost metrics.
• Ensure governance and privacy protections are embedded in ingestion workflows.
• Enable self-service ingestion templates and standardization across teams.
• Collaborate with Product, Backend, Analytics, and ML teams on data requirements.
