Job summary

All European Careers BENELUX seeks a Senior Data Engineer in Spain to lead end-to-end data projects, from requirements analysis and modelling to data engineering, reporting and UAT. You will guide a small team of 2–3 developers and deliver scalable data solutions across multiple business areas using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse and Power BI.

The role combines hands-on data engineering with BI development and strong collaboration with stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience in data engineering with emphasis on data modelling.
• 4+ years of experience with Microsoft Fabric or Azure Synapse and Power BI reporting.
• Strong expertise in the Microsoft data stack including Fabric, Synapse and Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end data projects translating requirements into scalable data models, pipelines and Power BI solutions.
• Develop data solutions using Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, SQL and PySpark.
• Design database schemas and implement Data Vault and dimensional data models.
• Build and maintain complex Power BI dashboards and reports, supporting UAT and production deployment.
• Develop and optimize data pipelines, data quality controls, SQL queries and processing workflows.
• Ensure solutions meet requirements for performance, scalability, security and data governance.
• Lead a small team of developers, coordinating priorities and mentoring.
• Collaborate with architects, data scientists, analysts and stakeholders and promote best practices.
