Job summary

q.beyond ibérica S.L. is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to own and evolve the central data platform on Microsoft Fabric, including lakehouse and medallion patterns.

You will build robust ETL/ELT pipelines, integrate ERP sources like SAP S/4HANA, and shape semantic models in Power BI. You will establish data governance, monitoring, CI/CD with Git and Azure DevOps, and collaborate with Finance, Sales and Security to translate requirements into scalable data products.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of data engineering experience in the Microsoft stack (Fabric, Synapse, Data Factory, Databricks, Power BI).
• Deep knowledge of SQL, Python/PySpark, data modelling and medallion architecture.
• Experience integrating ERP systems, ideally SAP S/4HANA; understanding of finance or sales KPIs.
• Hands‑on experience with DevOps, Git‑based deployments and data governance (incl. GDPR).
• Strong communication skills, also with non‑technical audiences; experience in agile product teams.
• Fluent English; German is a strong plus.
• Certifications such as DP-700 or DP-600 are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own the architecture and evolution of the central data platform on Microsoft Fabric (OneLake, lakehouses, warehouses, medallion architecture).
• Build robust ETL/ELT pipelines with Fabric Data Factory, dataflows and notebooks (PySpark, SQL).
• Integrate SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud and model the gold layer and Power BI semantic models.
• Establish data quality, monitoring, alerting and lineage; implement CI/CD with Git and Azure DevOps.
• Own access concepts and role models (Entra ID, RBAC) with Security and Governance.
• Translate business requirements into data models and KPI definitions with stakeholders.
• Validate data with SME's and SAP reports; support data product adoption.
