Job summary

Jobgether, in collaboration with a partner company, seeks a Senior Data Engineer – Data Engineer based in Spain for a fully remote role. You will own end-to-end ETL/ELT pipelines, transform raw data into clean, accessible datasets, and work with cloud data platforms and modern warehousing technologies to empower analytics and product development.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional experience in data engineering.
• Strong SQL skills for complex queries and optimization.
• Proficiency in Python, Scala, or Java.
• Hands-on ETL/ELT pipeline design and production experience.
• Cloud data platform experience (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
• Experience with data warehousing technologies.
• Solid data modeling, schema design, and data quality knowledge.
• Ability to troubleshoot large datasets and production issues.
• Strong communication and collaboration in international teams.
• Remote-first work adaptability and ownership.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Develop and optimize data models, schemas, and transformation logic.
• Establish data quality checks and reliability standards.
• Monitor pipelines and investigate data issues.
• Implement observability, alerting, and monitoring.
• Build data solutions on cloud platforms and warehousing tech.
• Identify opportunities to optimize performance and cost.
• Collaborate with analytics, product, data science, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to code quality, testing, reviews, and deployment practices.
• Create documentation for pipelines, models, infra.
• Participate in on-call and production support.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve the data platform.
