SITA in Spain is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Central Data Platform Team. You will design scalable cloud-based data architectures on Databricks, develop ingestion patterns, and build pipelines with a strong emphasis on governance and security.

You will collaborate with architects, scientists and analysts across the Air Transport Industry to deliver reliable data solutions, apply modern tech like AzureML and LLMs, and enable advanced analytics and ML use cases while working three days per

Formación

• 5+ years of technical experience with Big Data systems.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark and event streaming (e.g. Azure Event Hub, Kafka).
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with clean coding and OOP practices.
• Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).
• Nice to have: Knowledge of data visualization (Power BI, Databricks Dashboards, Tableau, etc).
• Nice to have: Strong understanding of dimensional modelling and data warehouse design.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable cloud-based data architectures with a focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Develop reference ingestion patterns and templates for integrating data from enterprise systems, APIs, and external datasets.
• Develop and maintain pipelines and provide guidance on ETL/ELT best practices for portfolio teams.
• Apply and validate data governance, cataloguing, and quality monitoring to ensure trustworthy data.
• Collaborate with data architects, scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
• Explore and apply modern technologies (Databricks, AzureML, LLMs) to enable advanced analytics and AI/ML use cases.
