SITA in Madrid/Barcelona area is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Central Data Platform Team. Design, develop, and maintain reference data patterns on the Databricks platform to enable governance and scalable data pipelines.

You will collaborate with architects, scientists, analysts, and stakeholders across the Air Transport Industry to build reliable analytics and AI use cases, with an office presence three days a week.

Formación

• 5+ years of technical experience with Big Data systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python, with clean coding and OOP.
• Experience with Databricks, Spark, and event streaming (Kafka, Azure Event Hub).
• Cloud deployment experience (Azure preferred).
• Nice to have: data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau).
• Nice to have: dimensional modelling and data warehouse design.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable cloud-based data architectures with performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Develop reference ingestion patterns for data from enterprise systems, APIs, and external datasets.
• Build and maintain pipelines and provide ETL/ELT guidance for teams.
• Apply data governance, cataloguing, and quality monitoring for trustworthy data.
• Collaborate with data architects, scientists, analysts, and stakeholders across the Air Transport Industry.
• Explore and apply Databricks, AzureML, and AI/ML use cases to enable advanced analytics.
