SITA is seeking a Data Engineer to join the Central Data Platform Team in Barcelona. You will design, develop, and maintain data pipelines and reference data patterns for the Air Transport Industry data platform, enabling scalable analytics and ML use cases.

You will collaborate with data architects, scientists, and analysts, applying modern technologies (Databricks, AzureML, LLMs) to deliver secure, high-quality data products across the organization.

Formación

• 3–5 years of technical experience with Big Data systems.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python with clean coding practices.
• Experience with cloud deployments, preferably Azure.
• Familiarity with Databricks, Spark, and event streaming.

Responsabilidades

• Design scalable cloud-based data architectures with focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and security.
• Develop reference ingestion patterns for integrating data from enterprise systems, APIs, and external datasets.
• Develop and maintain pipelines and provide guidance on ETL/ELT best practices.
• Apply data governance, cataloguing, and quality monitoring to ensure trustworthy data.
• Collaborate with data architects, scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders.
• Apply modern technologies (Databricks, AzureML, LLMs) to enable analytics and AI/ML use cases.
