AECOM seeks an experienced Electrical Engineer to join our Europe & India team in Madrid on a hybrid basis. You will design power and lighting systems for projects of varying size, lead design decisions, and coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams.

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years of experience, fluency in English and Spanish, and a strong grasp of international standards. You will mentor junior staff, manage project documentation, and interact with clients to present proposals.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Industrial Engineering with Electrical Emphasis.
• 8–10 years of related experience or equivalent.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (written and spoken).
• Experience leading project teams and coordinating with other disciplines.
• Knowledge of NFPA, BS, IEC and other international standards.
• Proficiency in electrical design and calculation for MV/LV systems; data centers a plus; CCTV, fire, and access control experience valued.

Job Description

• Acts as an adviser and reviews correspondence prepared by junior project team members.


• Attends project meetings, or when appropriate, delegates activities.


• Meets with clients, prepares proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations.


• Assists in project checking for quality control on other projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or industrial engineering with Electrical Emphasis Engineering from an accredited program.


• At least, 8 -10 years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.


• Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).


• Team management/coordination experience.


• Good knowledge in international regulations and standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, etc).


• Proficiency in engineering calculation software for electrical discipline (CANECO, ETAP, etc).


• The candidate must have experience in the design and calculation of medium and low voltage (MV/LV) electrical installations in all types of buildings (tertiary sector, hospitals, airports, etc.) and infrastructures. Experience in construction works and other types of systems such as CCTV, fire detection, security, and access control will also be valued.


• The candidate shall possess substantial expertise in the electrical design and calculation of power systems for data centers (DC), including medium and low voltage distribution, redundancy strategies, and compliance with applicable standards and regulations. Formal training or certification in Uptime Institute standards (Tier Classification System, Operational Sustainability, or Accredited Tier Designer/ Specialist programs) will be considered a strong asset.
