The AECOM Spain Building Services Engineering Team is a highly skilled and multidisciplinary group of professionals dedicated to delivering innovative, sustainable, and high-quality engineering solutions for clients worldwide. Working as part of a global organization, our team supports the design and delivery of complex projects across a wide range of sectors, including Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Aviation, Commercial, Data Centers, Defense, and Transportation.
As part of our continued growth, we are seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our Madrid office and contribute to the successful delivery of international projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead technical design activities, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on challenging and rewarding projects.
The ideal candidate will be passionate about electrical engineering design, technical excellence, and mentoring developing engineers. They will have experience in the design of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects and will be comfortable working within international project environments.
Particular interest will be given to candidates with experience in projects designed in accordance with North American codes and standards, especially NFPA requirements, although this is not considered a mandatory requirement.

Experience with North American electrical standards and codes, particularly NFPA, NEC, and related standards, will be highly valued. Familiarity with IEC and British Standards (BS) is also desirable.

We are looking for an engineer who combines strong technical expertise with a collaborative mindset, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering high-quality engineering solutions. Candidates with experience in US-based projects and familiarity with NFPA requirements are particularly encouraged to apply, although equivalent experience under other international standards will also be considered.
