AECOM Building Engineering in Madrid is seeking a Senior Engineer with strong expertise in Telecom and Electronic Security Systems to grow within multidisciplinary projects of medium to high complexity in an international environment.

You will design integrated security systems (CCTV, access control, intrusion), coordinate with architectural and MEP teams, produce detailed documentation, and contribute to bids and proposals across sectors from industrial to healthcare.

Formación

  • Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience designing electronic security systems for building facilities.
  • High level of proficiency in English and Spanish, written and spoken.
  • Knowledge of applicable regulations and industry standards in electronic security.
  • Experience evaluating and selecting technology vendors.

Responsabilidades

  • Design integrated electronic security systems: CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and associated infrastructure.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation: calculations, schematics, diagrams, technical reports, and specifications.
  • Define camera and device layouts, considering field-of-view, coverage, and blind spot minimization.
  • Coordinate design with architectural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing teams to ensure functional integration of systems.
  • Participate in technical coordination meetings and collaborate on spatial requirements for telecom systems.
  • Propose technical solutions to new challenges and identify discrepancies in results.
  • Contribute to the development of technical proposals for bids and new projects

AECOM Building Engineering team is at the forefront of their discipline for the design of the mechanical, electrical and public health (MEP) systems required for the safe, comfortable and environmentally friendly operation of buildings. We embrace world class methodologies and technologies, including information rich Building Information Modelling (BIM) to facilitate more efficient ways of working and design at all stages of the project life-cycle.

We are seeking a Senior Engineer with strong expertise in the design of Telecom and Electronic Security Systems to join our team in Spain. This role is focused on professionals who are passionate about developing detailed technical designs for building facilities and who want to grow within multidisciplinary projects of medium to high complexity in an international environment.

Our projects span sectors such as Industrial, Healthcare, Education, Leisure, Aviation, Commercial, and Defense. Key Responsibilities
  • Design integrated electronic security systems: CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and associated infrastructure.
  • Produce detailed technical documentation: calculations, schematics, diagrams, technical reports, and specifications.

  • Proficiency in design tools such as AutoCAD, Visio, and Revit.
  • Desired experience in wired and wireless telecom infrastructure, voice alarm evacuation systems, and building control and monitoring systems.
  • Previous international project experience is highly valued.
  • Strong command of Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
