A global engineering firm located in Madrid is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer. The role involves electrical power and lighting designs, project management, and client engagement. The ideal candidate has over 10 years of experience, is fluent in both English and Spanish, and possesses strong knowledge of international standards and software tools. Formación

Job Description

In the role, you will be expected to:

• Complete Electrical power and lighting designs for projects of all sizes.
• Make major design recommendations and design decisions with little input from senior staff.
• Plan design work, calculate costs, and time schedules to assign design duties to junior staff working on projects.
• Coordinate design and schedule with other disciplines such as architectural, structural, mechanical, technology, clerical, and equipment suppliers.
• Maintain accurate project documentation and design data for permanent project files.
• Act as an adviser and review correspondence prepared by junior project team members.
• Attend project meetings, or when appropriate, delegate activities.
• Meet with clients, prepare proposals and presentations while maintaining good client relations.
• Assist in project checking for quality control on other projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Electrical Engineering or industrial engineering with Electrical Emphasis Engineering from an accredited program.
• At least 10 years of experience in a similar role or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
• Fluent in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• Team management/coordination experience.
• Good knowledge in international regulations and standards (NFPA, BS, IEC, etc.).
• Proficiency in engineering calculation software for electrical discipline (CANECO, ETAP, etc.).
