They will have experience in the design of medium- and low-voltage electrical systems for buildings and infrastructure projects and will be comfortable working within international project environments.

Particular interest will be given to candidates with experience in projects designed in accordance with North American codes and standards, especially NFPA requirements, although this is not considered a mandatory requirement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Make technical decisions and provide engineering guidance throughout all project phases.
  • Plan and manage design activities, resources, budgets, and schedules for assigned projects.
  • Mentor and support junior and intermediate engineers, promoting technical excellence and professional development.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary design reviews and quality assurance processes.
  • Attend client meetings, prepare technical proposals and presentations, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Support project delivery during construction, including technical clarifications, design reviews, and site coordination when required.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and best practices within the team.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering (Electrical Specialization), or a related discipline.
  • Approximately 5 to 10 years of relevant professional experience in electrical design consultancy, engineering, or construction projects.
  • Proven experience in the design of MV/LV electrical installations for buildings and infrastructure projects.
  • Experience working on sectors such as commercial buildings, healthcare facilities, airports, industrial facilities, data centers, transportation infrastructure, or similar complex developments.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish, both written and spoken.
  • Experience coordinating multidisciplinary project teams and managing technical interfaces.

The successful candidate should possess a solid understanding of:

  • Medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems.
  • Electrical load assessments and power system studies.
  • Standby and emergency power generation systems.
  • Earthing and lightning protection systems.
  • International electrical codes and standards.
