Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Senior Pre-Construction Manager (French, EMEA) to lead cross-functional teams through early planning, design development, and constructibility guidance for data center projects. You will help develop design standards, manage complex projects from site selection to contract execution, and ensure high standards and timely decisions across diverse partners.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• Fluent in French and English.
• 7+ years negotiating with general contractors and evaluating bids.
• 7+ years in mission critical facilities (design, pre-construction, scheduling, construction and commissioning).
• 5+ years construction site management.
• Excellent communication with frontline and executive managers.

Responsibilities

• Review and input into global standards and data center template designs.
• Independently support, overview and manage complex cross-functional Data Center projects from site selection, permitting and contract execution.
• Drive scope progress, make crisp decisions, clear blockers and escalate as needed.
• Coordinate with Real Estate, Design Engineering, Construction, Finance, architects, engineers, permitting agencies, developers and landlords.
• Negotiate with general contractors and evaluate bids/proposals; participate in pricing reviews.
• Evaluate due diligences, schedule tracking, and factors that may impede project hand-over.
• Drive high standards, accountability, and coaching as needed.
• Lead negotiations with contractors and procurement, report on schedule, cost and budget.
