Job summary

Swiss Re is hiring a Senior Software Developer for a hybrid role in Spain. You will own the technical design and implementation of custom components within a cybersecurity orchestration platform, working across API integrations and agentic transformations.

This role blends hands-on coding with architectural leadership in a Security Team setting. You will design, implement, and refine automations, maintain performance and reliability, and collaborate with security engineers to counter emerging

Qualifications

• Passion, drive, and a belief in the value of cybersecurity automation as an enabler of business performance
• A track record of successful delivery in API integrations developed with Python
• Experience engineering agentic solutions
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
• The ability to communicate with a broad spectrum of stakeholders effectively – from cybersecurity analysts to application owners
• Experience driving software delivery and mentoring other developers through day-to-day collaboration
• A high level of integrity, result-oriented approach, and composure under pressure
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Nice-to-have: experience with cloud native technologies and environments
• Nice-to-have: experience working with SOAR capabilities development
• Nice-to-have: knowledge of detection rule development covering tools (SIEM, EDRs) and MITRE ATT&CK
• Nice-to-have: experience working as a security analyst or incident responder (SOC/CSIRT/on-call)

Responsibilities

• Design and build new cybersecurity orchestration automation via API integrations
• Lead software projects on agentic transformation while remaining hands-on in design and implementation
• Maintain and improve the performance, scalability, and reliability of the existing automations within the cybersecurity orchestration platform
• Collaborate with threat detection security engineers to develop and implement custom solutions for detecting and responding to emerging cyber threats
