Job summary

Veeva Systems is seeking a Senior Migration Consultant to lead end-to-end migration projects for Vault CDMS and DQS, working directly with Sponsors and CROs. You will transform and validate large clinical datasets from legacy systems and contribute to automation efforts while mentoring junior engineers.

You will operate in a fast-paced, global environment, travel up to 10%, and leverage strong SQL/SAS skills and life sciences domain knowledge to ensure data integrity and successful migrations.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with EDC clinical software covering end-to-end data management.
• Experience with data migration and data quality in clinical trials is required.
• Programming experience in SAS, R, Python, or SQL, with ability to learn new SQL-based languages.
• Background in life sciences (pharma, biotech, CRO) with project lifecycle experience.
• Experience in customer-facing roles within software professional services or consulting.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Sponsors and CROs to interpret legacy database structures and data mapping.
• Perform data transformation, mapping, and script validation on large clinical datasets.
• Lead end-to-end data migration delivery across active trials per project plans.
• Develop and configure validation scripts and SQL-based listings to ensure data integrity.
• Provide feedback to product teams based on migration challenges and data bottlenecks.
• Contribute to reusable migration tools and mentor junior team members.
