Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Staff Software Engineer – Market Data in Spain to design, build, and operate a next‑generation market data platform. You’ll own distributed backend systems for real-time feeds, historical data, and blockchain-related data, while mentoring engineers and guiding architectural decisions in a remote-first team.

You will own ingestion, processing, storage, and delivery, shaping performance, reliability, and data quality.

Qualifications

• Experience building distributed backend systems with high reliability.
• Strong real-time streaming experience and data processing.
• Proficiency in Rust or Go or similar languages.
• Ability to translate complex requirements into robust architectural designs.
• End-to-end ownership of services from design to operations.
• Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate distributed backend systems for market data ingestion and delivery.
• Develop robust streaming infrastructure handling event ordering, retries, and recovery.
• Create reliable client-facing data feeds and APIs with strong access controls.
• Collaborate to define reference data models and integrate new data sources.
• Establish and monitor SLOs and data quality metrics across the platform.
• Mentor engineers, lead architectural decisions, and drive production improvements.
