Mott MacDonald is recruiting a Battery Energy Storage Systems Engineer to lead design, development, implementation and operation of BESS in renewable energy projects. You’ll act as Owner's Engineer, ensuring seamless integration into project execution across international wind and solar initiatives.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical/electrical, renewable energy, or energy storage.
• Experience in technical due diligence, owner's engineering, advisory services, and feasibility studies for renewables/energy storage.
• Strong knowledge of BESS technologies, grid integration, and power system modelling.
• Project management skills including risk management and cross-functional coordination.
• Familiarity with regulations, standards, and codes for energy storage and grid integration.
• Excellent written and oral English; other languages are a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Provide engineering support through the lifecycle of BESS projects, ensuring technical excellence and stakeholder alignment.
• Conduct feasibility studies covering technical/economic viability and risk assessment.
• Advise on energy storage, renewable integration, and project development strategies for clients and governments.
• Stay updated on BESS tech, industry trends, and regulatory requirements; share knowledge within the team.
• Assess specifications, grid needs, and supplier reliability to propose optimal BESS configurations.
• Collaborate with procurement to define specs, evaluate bids, and select equipment.
