UST España & Latam busca un Senior Backend Spark Developer para trabajar de forma remota desde España. Diseñarás, desarrollarás y optimizarás pipelines de Big Data con Spark, Scala o Python, asegurando rendimiento y escalabilidad mientras colaboras con varios equipos.

Se exige al menos 5 años de experiencia en Spark, dominio de SQL y experiencia con Azure Databricks/Hive, más inglés avanzado y español fluido. Ofrecen flexibilidad laboral, formación continua y planes de carrera.

Formación

• Mínimo 5 años de experiencia con Apache Spark (Scala o Python).
• Experiencia sólida en Apache Spark (requisito imprescindible).
• Dominio de Scala o Python y SQL sólido.

Responsabilidades

• Llevar decisiones técnicas y contribuir al diseño de arquitectura.
• Desarrollar, mantener y optimizar pipelines de Big Data.
• Apoyar iniciativas de integración de datos entre sistemas.
• Asegurar rendimiento, escalabilidad y fiabilidad de soluciones.
• Resolver problemas técnicos complejos y colaborar con equipos.
• Mentorizar y apoyar a otros miembros del equipo.

What we look for?

We are looking for a Senior Backend Spark Developer responsible for the design, development, and optimization of data processing solutions within the Client Contribution platform. You will play a key role in building scalable and high-performance Big Data pipelines while collaborating across multiple teams.

High english level is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead technical decisions and contribute to architecture design
• Develop, maintain, and optimize Big Data pipelines
• Support data integration initiatives across different systems
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of solutions
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues
• Collaborate with functional and technical teams across multiple workstreams
• Mentor and support other team members, fostering knowledge sharing

Mandatory requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience with Apache Spark (Scala or Python)
• Strong experience with Apache Spark (must-have)
• Proficiency in Scala or Python
• Solid SQL knowledge and data modelling skills
• Experience with Azure Databricks and Hive
• Experience working in CI/CD and DevOps environments (Git, GitHub, Sonar, Nexus)
• Agile mindset and experience working in Agile environments
• Strong analytical skills and proactive attitude
• English level B2+ (minimum) and Spanish (at least C1+)

Nice to have:

• Experience with orchestration tools (Control-M, Airflow or similar)
• Knowledge of Hadoop ecosystem
• Interest or experience in AI technologies applied to data engineering, analytics, or automation
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools or contributing to AI-driven data platforms
