Flexcompute Inc. is seeking a Principal Software Engineer (Backend) to join a fully remote engineering team.

You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems powering innovative products, collaborating with a talented group of engineers to drive architectural decisions and lifecycle delivery. The role requires 5+ years in backend development, strong expertise in Python/Java/Node.js/Go, and experience with databases, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend software development experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases and RESTful APIs.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.
• Excellent communication and teamwork, especially in remote settings.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Write clean, well-documented code and participate in code reviews.
• Collaborate with frontend developers, product managers, and designers to deliver features.
