Flexcompute Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems within a fully remote engineering team.

You will collaborate with cross-functional colleagues, contribute to architecture decisions, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring high-quality, robust software. This role emphasizes backend design, API quality, and scalable systems, with occasional travel for team meetups to Córdoba.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases; strong API design skills.
• Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with front-end developers, product managers, and designers.
• Participate in code reviews and debugging production issues.
• Contribute to architecture decisions and technology choices.
