Flexcompute is seeking a Senior Backend Software Engineer to design and implement scalable solutions for our EM simulation platform. You will own end-to-end backend components, contribute to API unification, and drive data management and cloud integration.

Join a senior, small team dedicated to owning real pieces of the platform, with direct access to the founders. The role emphasizes production systems, cloud computing, and collaboration across teams in a fast-paced startup environment.

Competenze

• Strong backend engineering in Java, Python or C++, with deep expertise in one.
• Production cloud experience, AWS preferred.
• Experience with distributed production systems.
• Ownership of a production backend service from design to operation.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
• Based in Spain with right to work there.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, telecommunications engineering or related field.

Mansioni

• Contribute to API unification, data management, caching, syncing, and scripting improvements.
• Collaborate with EM and infrastructure teams on back-end/scheduler integrations and Python frontend functionality.
• Improve web API design for simulation job orchestration and data access.
• Develop hybrid cloud compute/storage solutions, integrating on-prem HPC with cloud platforms.
• Optimize and manage HPC clusters with high-speed interconnects.
