Job summary

Trading-21 is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) for its fully remote engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems powering innovative products, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers across all development phases.

Occasional travel for team meetups may be required, with remote work centered globally. The role emphasizes proactive problem solving, strong backend tech knowledge, and delivering high-quality software solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years of professional backend software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more backend languages (Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and/or NoSQL databases.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
• Collaborate with front-end teams, product managers and designers to deliver features.
• Mentor junior engineers and participate in code reviews to ensure quality.
• Optimize performance and scalability of backend systems.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and best practices.
