Commercehub, Inc. is seeking a Senior Software Engineer (Backend) to join a fully remote engineering team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems powering innovative products, collaborating with engineers, product managers, and designers across disciplines.

The role emphasizes architecture decisions, quality code, and mentorship of junior engineers, with a focus on performance, reliability, and scalable solutions in a remote setup.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong knowledge of RESTful API design.
• Experience with one or more backend languages listed (Python, Java, Node.js, Go).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms and containerization is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and improve backend software.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables.
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and design teams to deliver features.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure quality and share knowledge.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize performance.
