DICE is looking for a Senior Backend Engineer to join our Engineering team and shape the architecture of our live-event platforms. You will impact how we scale, design distributed services, and deliver reliable APIs for fans, venues, and artists.

You’ll lead technical discussions, mentor engineers, and champion best practices while working remotely with a team distributed across Europe, North America, and beyond. This role emphasizes ownership and pragmatic debt management.

Formación

• Extensive production experience with Elixir, OTP, and Phoenix.
• Strong track record designing distributed systems at scale.
• Experience integrating third-party services and handling failure scenarios.
• Deep understanding of PostgreSQL/Redis and query performance.

Responsabilidades

• Architecting and developing complex, high-load backend systems written in Elixir.
• Leading technical discussions with Product Managers, Engineers, and Designers to turn vague requirements into robust technical specifications.
• Mentoring mid-level and junior engineers, conducting code reviews, and fostering technical excellence.
• Identify bottlenecks in ticketing and event systems and design scalable solutions for traffic spikes.
• Champion best practices in testing, documentation, and maintainability across the engineering organisation.
