Job summary

The Chemours Company is seeking a Senior Accountant for its Asturias, Spain site to join the Controllership team. The role focuses on payroll accounting close, outsourced service delivery, and revenue recognition, with exposure to SOX controls and cross-functional collaboration across Finance, HR and IT.

Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor’s in Business or Accounting, 3–5+ years of accounting experience, and fluency in English.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Business or Accounting field is required.
• 3–5+ years of accounting experience, payroll accounting a plus.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle or another large-scale ERP.
• Ability to establish and manage processes and internal controls.
• Experience across multiple jurisdictions (multistate and/or multinational).
• Fluency in English is required.

Responsibilities

• Payroll Accounting Close: Review payroll journal entries and GL interfaces.
• Oversee outsourced service delivery and ensure SLA adherence.
• Process Improvement and Transformation: identify automation opportunities and SOPs.
• Compliance and Controls: ensure SOX compliance and support audits.
• Revenue Recognition Accounting: review revenue recognition and related entries.
• Reporting: coordinate Balance Sheet flux analyses and management reporting.
• Stakeholder Management: partner with Finance, HR, IT and business teams.
