HR Path Group in Madrid is seeking an experienced Accounting Director to lead the company's accounting and financial reporting.

Reporting to the CFO, you will oversee daily accounting, close processes, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive improvements in finance controls and digitization. The ideal candidate holds a degree in Accounting/Finance, 5+ years international experience, SAP FI familiarity, and fluent English and strong Spanish; French is a plus.

• Bachelor or Master in Accounting/Finance or related field.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, ideally in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee the day-to-day accounting activities and ensure accurate and timely financial reporting.
• Manage the month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Ensure compliance with Spanish accounting, tax and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review financial statements and management reporting.
• Coordinate with external auditors, tax advisors and other financial partners.
• Monitor and strengthen internal accounting processes and controls.
• Ensure the quality and integrity of accounting data.
• Work closely with the CFO and other departments on financial and accounting matters.
• Lead, coordinate and support the accounting team.
• Contribute to the optimization and digitalization of finance processes and systems.

YOUR MISSIONS

Location: Madrid, Spain

Reporting to: Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are looking for an experienced and hands-on Accounting Director to join our team in Madrid and take responsibility for the company's accounting and financial reporting activities.

Reporting directly to the CFO, you will oversee the accounting function, ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our financial processes and controls.

Key Responsibilities

YOUR PROFILE

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in accounting, ideally in an international environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Good understanding of Spanish accounting and tax regulations.
• Experience managing or coordinating an accounting team.
• SAP FI experience is highly desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Autonomous, rigorous and hands-on, with a strong sense of ownership.
• Comfortable working in an international and multicultural environment.
• Spanish: a strong level is highly desirable.
• English: professional proficiency required.
• French: a strong advantage
