Job Title: Sales Director (B2b Sportsbook experience is mandatory)
Job Location: Europe, Remote + Travel
(Genuinely available to travel 50%+ of the time)
Responsibilities
- A hunter-type professional with an established client network who can independently bring in new clients and generate business opportunities: a true “lone wolf.”
- Own the European new-business number and the pipeline that gets there
- Work with Product and Trading to shape proposals that we can actually deliver profitably
- Build and maintain a forecast the leadership team can plan against
- Define the European sales structure — headcount, territory split, seniority mix — hire and onboard the team
- Represent the company at industry events (ICE, SBC Summit, SiGMA and equivalents) and turn attendance into pipeline
- Feed structured market intelligence back into Product: what we're losing on, what buyers are asking for, where competitors are moving
- Track the regulatory landscape across key European markets and translate it into commercial strategy
- Work with Legal and Compliance early in the cycle so licensing and certification requirements are priced in rather than discovered after signature
- Keep CRM data accurate enough that it's usable for forecasting and analyticsBuild the sales playbook: qualification criteria, pricing guardrails, proposal templates
Requirements
- 7+ years in B2B sales, selling to businesses rather than to end users. This is a supplier-to-operator role — enterprise cycles, multiple stakeholders, procurement, legal and compliance sign-off, contracts measured in years. B2C or affiliate-side backgrounds don't transfer
- At least 2–3 years leading a team
- Direct sportsbook experience. Casino-only or generic SaaS backgrounds won't be enough for this role
- Proven experience selling into regulated markets. You've closed deals where the buyer is a licensed operator and the supplier must meet local regulatory and technical requirements. You have hands‑on experience selling across several European markets, particularly UK, Italy, Spain, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden and Portugal.
- You understand how certification, technical standards, data residency, responsible gambling requirements and local licence conditions shape scope, timelines and price, and you can hold that conversation with an operator's compliance team without deferring every question
- Demonstrable track record of closing multi‑year contracts with European operators, with numbers you can talk through
- Experience building a sales function, not just inheriting one: hiring, territory design, process, company playbook
- An existing network in the European market that you can activate
- Fluent English. Additional European languages are a real advantage
- Based in Europe
- Genuinely available to travel 50%+ of the time
