Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to operate from the Barcelona Remote Operations Center for wind energy. You will monitor turbine performance, detect alarms, and support commissioning and service activities to ensure safe, reliable operation across assets.

You will collaborate with site teams and engineering experts, analyze data to identify faults and trends, and drive continuous improvement while participating in rotating weekday shifts and occasional on-call duties.

Qualifications

Engineering degree or equivalent wind-energy experience.
Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience.
Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
Willingness to travel up to 20% and relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility; fluent English.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms.
Support commissioning and service via remote diagnostics.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues.
Escalate complex issues with clear technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyze operational data to identify faults and trends.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required; prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/public holidays.
