Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to manage offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support commissioning and service phases to ensure turbines operate reliably across their lifecycle.

Role requires hands-on wind energy experience, ability to read electrical schematics, SCADA proficiency, and strong communication. Travel up to 20% may be needed; relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent wind energy sector experience.
• Hands-on turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and clear technical communication; calm under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call support during weekends and holidays.
