Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee remote operations of offshore wind assets from our Barcelona center. You will monitor turbine performance, perform remote diagnostics, and coordinate with field teams to keep assets safe and efficient.

Ideal candidates have a engineering degree, hands-on wind turbine experience, and strong problem-solving and communication skills. Travel up to 20% and EU work eligibility required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear technical communication and calm, structured approach under pressure
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
