Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to operate and optimise offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will monitor performance, troubleshoot using SCADA and electrical schematics, and work with field teams to resolve technical issues.

You will collaborate with engineering staff during commissioning and service phases, travel up to 20%, and relocate to Barcelona if required. Safety and continuous improvement are core priorities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or related wind-energy field.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or electromechanical systems in operation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written).
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
