Revolut is seeking a Risk Manager to identify and quantify ESG risks across the second line of defence, helping us strengthen how we manage environmental and governance challenges.

You will set risk standards, develop policies and stress-testing capabilities, model climate scenarios, and work with senior stakeholders to uphold robust risk governance.

This role is based in Islas Baleares, Spain, and involves collaborating with global teams to ensure ESG risk practices meet evolving regulations.

Formación

• 3+ years of ESG or climate risk management experience.
• Expertise in ESG risk issues and climate risk stress testing.
• Understanding of global financial markets and how ESG/climate factors link to them.
• Knowledge of ESG-related regulations and their application in financial services.
• Experience with various stress testing methodologies and governance.

About the role

Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They're among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We're looking for a Risk Manager to identify and quantify environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk. You'll operate within the second line of defence, ensuring that first-line functions properly manage risks and controls.

What you'll be doing

• Setting standards for managing ESG risk, including risk appetite, balance sheet management, and impact assessments/responses to changes in ESG regulations
• Developing and maintaining risk management policies, procedures, limits, stress testing capabilities, analytics, system support, and reporting infrastructure
• Engaging and challenging first-line businesses to identify, monitor, and govern emerging ESG risks, including new product risk assessments
• Modelling ESG risks under climate stress scenarios with appropriate assumptions and calibrations
• Monitoring ESG risk exposures vs. established limits, investigating risk events, producing related MI reports, and escalating breaches to the appropriate committee
• Establishing relationships with senior stakeholders to enforce current risk management frameworks, identify emerging risks, and provide effective challenge

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in ESG or climate risk management
• Expertise in ESG risk issues and methodologies, with experience developing and implementing climate risk stress testing
• An understanding of global financial markets, products, and linkages to ESG/climate factors
• Knowledge of ESG-related regulations and their application/impact in financial services
• An understanding of various stress testing methodologies, and experience with model development, implementation, and governance
• The ability to break down complex problems into smaller ones
• To enjoy working with data to facilitate your work
• The ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, and drive change
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL or other scripting languages
