Revolut is seeking an experienced Risk Manager to identify and quantify ESG risk in our global operations. You will operate in the second line of defence, ensuring first-line functions manage risks and controls effectively.

Formación

• 3+ years of experience in ESG or climate risk management.
• Expertise in ESG risk issues and methodologies, with experience developing climate risk stress testing.
• Understanding of global financial markets, products, and linkages to ESG/climate factors.
• Knowledge of ESG-related regulations and their application in financial services.

Responsabilidades

• Setting standards for managing ESG risk, including risk appetite and impact assessments.
• Developing risk management policies, procedures, limits, stress testing capabilities, analytics, and reporting infrastructure.
• Engaging first-line businesses to identify and govern emerging ESG risks and product risk assessments.
• Modelling ESG risks under climate stress scenarios with appropriate assumptions.
• Monitoring ESG risk exposures vs. limits, investigating events, and escalating breaches.

About the role

Risk at Revolut operates across all functions, products, and regions to monitor front-line performance and ensure the business operates safely. They’re among the first to be involved in new initiatives, from tech to customer support.

We're looking for a Risk Manager to identify and quantify environmental, social, and governance (ESG) risk. You'll operate within the second line of defence, ensuring that first-line functions properly manage risks and controls.

What you'll be doing

• Setting standards for managing ESG risk, including risk appetite, balance sheet management, and impact assessments/responses to changes in ESG regulations
• Developing and maintaining risk management policies, procedures, limits, stress testing capabilities, analytics, system support, and reporting infrastructure
• Engaging and challenging first-line businesses to identify, monitor, and govern emerging ESG risks, including new product risk assessments
• Modelling ESG risks under climate stress scenarios with appropriate assumptions and calibrations
• Monitoring ESG risk exposures vs. established limits, investigating risk events, producing related MI reports, and escalating breaches to the appropriate committee
• Establishing relationships with senior stakeholders to enforce current risk management frameworks, identify emerging risks, and provide effective challenge

What you'll need

• 3+ years of experience in ESG or climate risk management
• Expertise in ESG risk issues and methodologies, with experience developing and implementing climate risk stress testing
• An understanding of global financial markets, products, and linkages to ESG/climate factors
• Knowledge of ESG-related regulations and their application/impact in financial services
• An understanding of various stress testing methodologies, and experience with model development, implementation, and governance
• The ability to break down complex problems into smaller ones
• To enjoy working with data to facilitate your work
• The ability to work independently, exercise good judgement, and drive change
• Excellent interpersonal skills

Nice to have

• Experience with SQL or other scripting languages
