The role requires analytical capability, commercial awareness and clear communication with stakeholders across multidisciplinary, international teams. Fluency in English is essential; Spanish language skills would be advantageous. The Madrid office anchors an expanding international portfolio.

Responsabilidades

• Lead risk identification and assessment activities across projects and business functions.
• Develop, maintain and regularly review project and corporate risk registers.
• Facilitate risk workshops with project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Assess risks across cost, schedule, commercial performance, contracts and project delivery.
• Develop mitigation strategies and monitor risk actions.
• Produce regular risk reporting for senior management and project leadership teams.
• Track changes in project risk profiles and highlight emerging areas of concern.
• Coordinate with project controls, commercial, finance and delivery teams to integrate risk management.
• Support quantitative and qualitative risk analysis where required.
• Ensure risk management processes, methodologies and reporting remain consistent across the organisation.
• Promote a proactive risk management culture across project teams.

Our client is an international business operating across the energy and infrastructure sector, delivering complex projects across multiple markets.

As the organisation continues to grow, they are looking for an experienced Risk Manager to join their team in Madrid and support the identification, assessment and management of risk across major projects and business activities.

The Role

The Risk Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining effective risk management processes across the organisation.

You will work closely with project teams, senior management and key business functions to identify potential risks, assess their impact and ensure appropriate mitigation strategies are implemented.

The role will require a combination of strong analytical capability, commercial awareness and the ability to communicate effectively across a range of stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead risk identification and assessment activities across projects and business functions.
• Develop, maintain and regularly review project and corporate risk registers.
• Facilitate risk workshops with project teams and senior stakeholders.
• Assess risks across areas including cost, schedule, commercial performance, contracts and project delivery.
• Develop mitigation strategies and monitor agreed risk actions.
• Produce regular risk reporting for senior management and project leadership teams.
• Track changes in project risk profiles and highlight emerging areas of concern.
• Work closely with project controls, commercial, finance and delivery teams to integrate risk management into wider project processes.

About You

You will have previous experience in risk management within energy, infrastructure, engineering, construction or another complex project environment.

You will ideally bring:

• Strong experience in project or enterprise risk management.
• Experience supporting large scale infrastructure, energy or engineering projects.
• A good understanding of project controls, commercial risk and project delivery.
• Experience developing and managing risk registers and mitigation plans.
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills.
• The ability to facilitate risk workshops and communicate risk clearly to senior stakeholders.
• Excellent organisation and stakeholder management skills.
• Confidence working within multidisciplinary and international teams.
• Professional fluency in English. Spanish language capability would be advantageous.
