Job summary

GE Vernova’s ROC Technical Lead - Remote Operations Center in Barcelona seeks a seasoned engineer to monitor offshore wind assets from a remote hub. You’ll oversee commissioning and service activities, diagnose issues, and ensure turbine performance across the lifecycle.

Qualifications

Must have an engineering degree or equivalent experience in wind energy
Hands-on wind turbine experience in operational environments
Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting
Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools
Strong analytical and communication skills under pressure
Willingness to travel up to 20% of the time
Fluent English; willing to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms
Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting for commissioning/service
Assist field teams in resolving issues and restoring performance
Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems
Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvements
Support reporting and communication of technical findings
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends and public holidays
