Job summary

GE Vernova’s ROC Technical Lead in Barcelona oversees remote operation of offshore wind assets, supporting commissioning and service through diagnostics and expert troubleshooting. The role collaborates with site teams and engineers to ensure turbine reliability and continuous improvement.

You will interpret electrical schematics, use SCADA and digital tools, and participate in a rotating shift with on-call weekends while travel up to 20% may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or similar electromechanical systems experience.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Fluent English; willingness to relocate to Barcelona; EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call on weekends/public holidays.
