Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. The role spans commissioning and service, ensuring turbines run reliably throughout their lifecycle.

You will monitor performance, diagnose remotely, assist field teams, and drive data-driven improvements. Collaboration with engineering and support teams is essential, with travel up to 20% and on-call weekend coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Fluent English (spoken and written); willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
