Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to manage remote operations of offshore wind assets from Barcelona. You will collaborate with site teams and engineers to detect and resolve issues, ensuring safe, reliable turbine performance across the lifecycle.

The role requires hands-on wind energy experience, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to travel up to 20%. Fluent English is essential; relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience in wind energy.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with on-call weekends/public holidays.
