Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead for Remote Operations Center (Wind Energy) to monitor offshore wind assets from a remote hub in Barcelona. You will lead remote diagnostics, troubleshoot, and coordinate with site teams to ensure safe, efficient turbine performance throughout the lifecycle.

Requires engineering degree, hands-on wind turbine experience, and strong analytical skills; English fluency; willingness to travel up to 20%. Relocation to Barcelona and EU work eligibility are expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in wind energy.
Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar systems in operational environments.
Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting.
Experience with SCADA systems and digital monitoring tools.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with clear communication.
Travel up to 20% of the time; EU work eligibility and relocation to Barcelona.

Responsibilities

Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays
