Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead for Wind Remote Operations Center in Barcelona, Spain. You will monitor turbine performance, diagnose issues remotely, and support both commissioning and service activities to ensure reliable operation across the turbine lifecycle.

You will work with site teams and engineers, analyze data, and drive improvement while operating on a rotating weekday shift with on-call coverage for weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind energy experience.
• Hands-on wind turbine or electromechanical systems experience in operations.
• Ability to read electrical schematics for troubleshooting and field support.
• Experience with SCADA and digital monitoring tools.
• Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility; fluent English.
• Travel up to 20% of the time if required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities via remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear, structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyze operational data to identify faults, trends and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
