Job summary

GE Vernova is seeking a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a remote operations center in Barcelona. The role covers commissioning and service phases, working with site teams and engineering experts to diagnose and resolve issues for reliable lifecycle performance.

You will analyze data, lead remote diagnostics, and drive process improvements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and coordinating with field personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent experience in the wind energy sector.
• Hands‑on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
