Job summary

GE Vernova seeks a ROC Technical Lead to oversee the safe, efficient operation of offshore wind assets from a Remote Operations Center in Barcelona. You will support commissioning and service phases, analyze faults, and drive continuous improvement with site teams and engineering experts.

You bring hands-on wind turbine experience, the ability to read electrical schematics, and strong analytical skills. Willingness to relocate to Barcelona and travel up to 20% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or equivalent wind sector experience.
• Hands-on experience with wind turbines or similar electromechanical systems in operational environments.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and apply them in troubleshooting and field support situations.
• Experience with SCADA systems and other digital monitoring tools.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with clear technical communication, calm structured approach under pressure, and a collaborative, proactive mindset.
• Availability to travel up to 20% of the time, if required.
• Fluent English (spoken and written), willingness to relocate to Barcelona and EU work eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor turbine performance and respond to alarms or abnormal conditions.
• Support commissioning and service activities through remote diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Assist field teams in resolving technical issues and restoring performance.
• Escalate complex issues with clear and structured technical information.
• Collaborate with engineering and support teams to resolve problems.
• Analyse operational data to identify faults, trends, and improvement opportunities.
• Support reporting and communication of technical findings.
• Contribute to process improvement and operational optimisation.
• Support grid outages when required, prioritising safety and compliance.
• Work on a rotating weekday shift schedule with occasional on-call support during weekends and public holidays.
