Job summary

Jobgether in Spain is seeking a Senior ML Engineer - Email Security for a remote-first role. You will develop and deploy machine learning to protect email infrastructure against spam, phishing, and cyber threats across production-scale servers.

You will own the detection lifecycle from data prep to releases, optimize model performance, and collaborate with partner engineers to modernize the filtering pipeline. This role emphasizes transformer expertise and robust, scalable security solutions.

Qualifications

• At least five years delivering detection/classification systems with impactful false positives.
• End-to-End ML ownership including corpus construction and release decisions.
• Hands-on transformer training with PyTorch, tokenizers, fine-tuning, CPU inference.

Responsibilities

• Train, evaluate, and release spam-detection models and corpora.
• Develop production components of a new email-filtering engine in Go.
• Investigate spam/phishing incidents and fix detection issues.
• Balance detection rates with false positives to avoid blocking legitimate messages.
• Maintain corpus management tools and training infra.
• Review classifier, rule, and model changes for quality and releases.
