Job summary

Jobgether, on behalf of a partner company, is seeking a Senior ML Engineer - Malware Detection to work remotely from Spain. You will develop and deploy ML solutions to detect web-based malware across Linux hosting environments, handling real malware datasets and transformers, with GPU resources and AI-assisted tools.

You will own the ML lifecycle from data to production, collaborating with analysts, engineers, and infrastructure teams to improve detection and reduce false positives.

Qualifications

• At least five years of production ML experience, with adversarial domain exposure such as cybersecurity, fraud, or abuse prevention.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and deploy ML models using production malware data to improve detection coverage.
• Develop models to classify malware vs benign content and triage suspicious files for deeper inspection.
• Create automated detection signatures from emerging campaigns.
• Identify malicious content requiring contextual analysis (phishing, webshells, script injections).
• Improve detection precision and cleanup effectiveness to keep websites secure.
• Establish rigorous evaluation frameworks with time-based and campaign-based splits and regression testing.
